As a web designer, it’s my job to present a client with a range of font choices for their website. It’s one very important component that defines your business brand. A great font tells a story and brings a voice to what you and your business do.
A good typeface will engage your audience in intrinsic ways. Through the website creation process, I get to know a client and their company. I want to know their ‘brand personality traits.’
What font choice would you make? Are you the classic and elegant type? Are you the happy and fun type? It’s more than just choosing the shirt you want to wear that day. It’s not just your personal style, but the message you want to send out.

Once we choose the right font, I style it in various ways…with scale, weight and spacing, in order to nuance the communications effectively. The text content should be readable and organized by priority.
These are necessary considerations in building a website, just as picking the right colors, images and functionalities. They must match your brand personality.
